It is surprising to know the number of identified cases growing each day. This case isn’t because of the number of people with the condition but rather because a lot of people are now becoming open to taking dyslexia tests and when positive of one, they are becoming more open to taking dyslexia treatments.
Not a lot of people were aware of the condition dyslexia. Some of them just grew up without any dyslexia treatment. Fortunately, some people outgrew it naturally. Now that science and medicine has identified this condition a lot of people have become so eager to look for medical help right after they’ve suspected they have dyslexia.
Aside from dyslexia test, there are so many ways that can tell if a person has dyslexia. You need to learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms since some of these signs can be observed naturally. Moreover, when you have serious dyslexia problem, there are also signs that will indicate the severity of the condition.
One common dyslexia test is the test of your ability to spell words. If it’s hard for you to spell both simple and hard words such as said, many, island, any, they, because, friend, and enough or if you tend to spell words based on how you say them, such as knock/nock, please/plese, journey/jerney, search/serch, and does/dus, then you may be positive of dyslexia.
Left and right distinction may also be tested by dyslexia test. Ask someone you know to evaluate this ability by instructing you to use your left hand to point your right foot. This is a simple instruction but can be complicated for people with dyslexia.
You may also ask a family or friend to check your mathematics skills. People with dyslexia may find it hard to understand simple math problems. It may also be complicated to solve or understand sequence concepts.
If you have problems understanding statements, it is a good idea to take a dyslexia test because this test is also used for evaluating a person’s comprehension ability. Retaining, remembering, or repeating words and statements may be difficult for a person with dyslexia.
Another dyslexia test is the evaluation of the patient’s ability to follow instructions. Dyslexic patients could not easily follow instructions, especially if the instructions have multiple sequences, or there are more than two procedures that need to be done.
Another simple dyslexia test may also be used in the evaluation of a person’s ability to understand and carry out simple instructions. People with dyslexia are poor in understanding and following instructions especially those complicated ones such as instructions with two or more procedures or multiple sequences.
