@Sk8Girl7 She will be dyslexic for the rest of her life but she wont automaticly suffer with dyslexia for the rest of her life.(lol why did they make the word so fucking hard to spell!?!?) That teacher was a failure, but there are many who can help her overcome her learning problems and the self esteem issues. I think all dyslexic people are of above aveage inteligence and can excell despite thier difficulties.

My sister has dyslexia,i feel bad for her because she will be like this for the rest of her life.
Also i hate her teacher because she called my sister stupid a million times and made fun of her in front of her class,
when my parents told her teacher that she has dyslexia….she just said “oh”
My sister has low self esteem because of her and she couldnt even say sorry >:(

I did the same thing but they just passed me on to the next grade, and in driver ED he pass me because he did not want me in his class again. they just thank that if you cant read then you are dumb.

YES I AGREE !!! The educational system’s mast up, they thank I’m just lazy and I don’t care but its just so hard to read and right, and then they treat me like Im a child. but In 16

I suffer dyslexia all my life. English is very hard for me to learn and I failed English classes twice already. I’m talking English for the third time right now, and I still get 2 D’s on my essay. I have tutors for years and it didn’t help that much. I think this video will meant alot to me.
I’m not stupid, look at me, I build computers and I’m taking Calculus 3.

Is there such a thing as over achieving? I wouldn’t have thought so. I for one teach children with literacy difficulties and in some cases dyslexia and my expectations of them are high because I understand their needs and how to suport them. Please don’t lump all teachers together based on your own experience.

low self esteem? yes, thats the main problem caused by constant abuse from teachers, parents & peers. many of us dyslexics develop unique talent & over achieve … i know at least one for sure

I have deslexia and i hate it when i was talking to skool nures and a yr 11 boy walked in then ran off and then i got called deslexia boy constently i hate it.

@FannyMiley Yeah..the vid explains how it differs person to person. Fair play for handeling yours, but for others the problem could be much more severe and it doesnt just effect spelling.

The thing is to just push on in life and get where you want to be. If you have to jump more hurdles than other people to get there it will just mean your stronger than them when you do.

Okay I found out I am. Managing life can get crazy. Now that I found out this it made me feel angry and relieved at the same time. Angry because great there is no cure for this and relieved because atleast I pin pointed it. Now on to trying to manage it better.

you don’t understand the pain of being dyslexia. it’s a real disability where smart people are mistaken for being dumb. yes, dyslexic people are smarter on an average. not in academic sense but in real life.
