Dyslexia: The Invisitble Disability
Dyslexia is often called an invisible disability because dyslexics often have great vocabularies, good verbal skills and look quite normal. In fact, this is a problem because people then do not understand why they don’t try harder to spell, read and write correctly. The fact is, they work much harder than most people to do their work, but their disability gets in the way. Therefore, they tend to have low self-esteem and feel guilty because no matter how hard they try, they often make the same mistakes over and over again. It is helpful to remember that there are dyslexia products available today to help these people do a better job and learn at the same time.
